Bare as You Dare Harness by Sportsheets

The Bare as You Dare harness is truly just as good (if not better) than any other harness now on the market. Though it doesn't compare to my Joque, it's excellent because it not only works well and is sturdy, but it's also made of minimal material to give a "bare" look. It's one of the lowest priced harnesses that can be found, which makes it especially ideal. For individuals new to, curious about, or interested in wearing harnesses, the Bare as You Dare harness is excellent, and can be found over at Fascinations for only $25.

Now, the reason why I am showing Fascinations' shipping box is because I just absolutely loved the filling that they put in it. Pink paper strips? Yeah, it's pretty cool. They also added a business card for easy contact and finding. Pretty neat. They always use discreet shipping for their orders, so you can be sure that any order placed will be sent quickly and safely, without anyone knowing what's inside of your brown box.

Made with only three thin nylon straps, the Bare as You Dare harness is made of so little that it's easy to tuck it away in a drawer or fit it in a piece of luggage (or purse). It's also great for use in terms of packing or for wearing under clothes. I really found that, during use, the Bare as You Dare harness does not scratch or itch, but when worn for longer periods of time it tends to move and chafe in aggravating and embarrassing places.

The harness is a g-string style harness, and though this is not my favorite (actually, I do not like them at all usually—I felt like picking at my ass the entire time I was wearing it), it was still relatively comfortable and not too intrusive. Some people are completely opposed to wearing thong or g-string style harnesses, and for those people, this harness obviously would not be the best as its minimal material can and will dig into the individual's genitals and ass.

Pictures of the o-ring removed from the harness. Pretty hardware.

The Bare as You Dare's o-ring is metal and interchangeable. It attaches to the harness via snaps (that can be a bit difficult to open, I'll warn), which means that it can be removed and replaced with silicone or rubber o-rings. This makes the harness especially specific and personal to each individual wearing it. Since the o-ring is basically bare, it's important that it does not cut the wearer's skin and is properly sealed (which it is, I am happy to report). Its diameter is 1½", meaning that it should fit most harness-compatible dildos.

The back of the harness.

There's an o-ring on the back of the harness, and I still have not found its purpose. It is not interchangeable and cannot be removed. I assume that this is for ease of moving and breathing, but it would have been just fine with a strap in its place. I just don't know! I mean, hey, if you want to get a little pretty, it's a perfect place to add a tail or leash (which is actually a perfect idea for those who have kitties)!

Since the harness is made out of only nylon and metal, it's extremely easy to clean. You can either wipe it down with soap and water in the sink, or throw it into the washing machine with your other clothes. Nylon is not a material that should bleed, but you may want to wash it in the sink before putting it in the wash with light clothing. I personally only wipe it down after wearing it, but after repeated wear, it's best to put it in the washing machine.

For me, I find that the harness would be made better if it was a double strap (because I just do not like having the string up my tush!). Honestly, I might even be able to say (if it was made in this way) that it would be better than my (oh no!) Joque! The nylon, though thin, does not give rug burn and is very discreet under clothing. And even though it does become a bit uncomfortable after wearing for longer periods of time, people who wear thongs regularly will be used to this feeling. It's really a good harness, which I am glad to have reviewed!

A special thanks to Fascinations for sending me this harness, free of charge, for my honest review. Thank you!
